Hi Joe. Thank you for sending these each month. I use these to see if there are any good deals on nice itineraries. I can’t take the time off for a transatlantic, but maybe one day.
Given you’ve been doing these for a long time and you likely have the data, have you ever analyzed how much prices have increased on the same itineraries over the last 3 or 5 years? I really have a sense that prices have skyrocketed in the last couple of years. I really think DCL has priced us out of the market. I do have a 2024 cruise booked in May for 7 nights…nothing special just an Eastern C on the Fantasy…for two rooms it’s about $13,000! We are not sure we’re going to keep it, but we still have about 400 days to look for the money.

I totally agree in terms of the price of the cruises, the summer prices for 2024 are crazy. I haven’t looked, but I definitely have the data. I’ll try to go back and look sometime this week. I think there are bargains to be had, but you really have to hunt and look around for them. I suspect with more ships coming online, and crazy opening day prices, there will be more last minute discounts available. Keep an eye on the “Special Offers” page on the DCL website <https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/special-offers/> to find those bargains. A good number of the europe cruises and a few alaska cruises got discounted. You have to book later and take a guaranteed rate cabin (which might not work for connecting rooms/families of 5) but the prices are “better”.
