Today started out really rough as we entered the Pacific Ocean again. There were lots of waves and wind and the boat was really rolling. I got up and headed to the Solarium to bring coffee back to the room. Nancy decided she wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon, so the girls and I got up and headed out.
We had scheduled a complementary trip on the North Star. The girls and I quickly decided that the last thing we wanted to do was to go 300 feet into the air on top of a rolling ship. We went to the North Star area to let the crew member we wouldn’t be taking our ride today.
After walking around for a bit, the girls and I decided to go to the Royal Esplanade to get some lunch. We got pizza from Sorrento’s and sandwiches and cake from Cafe Promenade. Nancy eventually felt better enough to join us at Sorrento’s.
After our quick lunch, we headed up to the indoor Family Pool area to relax and read. Nancy got some fish and chips from Fish and Ships. She also came back with this Deep Fried Candy Bar. I think it was a Milky Way bar. It was good, but really too sweet for me. I believe the up charge for this was $2.
After a while of reading and watching the ocean, we decided to split up. The girls went off to ride bumper cars and Nancy and I went to Boleros to listen to some music. We didn’t stay long though, the music wasn’t quite our taste. We ended up going to the Music Hall instead where we found a different band playing. We stayed in there much longer and enjoyed the music.
After we left the music hall, we decided to go outside on Deck 5 to look around. We hadn’t spent on time in this area even though its one of our favorite spots on the Disney ships.
We also go to see the sunset while we were walking around, which was beautiful.
We made our way back to the room to get ready for dinner.Tonight’s dinner was at Izumi’s. After dinner, we headed to the shops to look around again.
After visiting the shops, we headed back to the room to get some sleep. It had been a lazy sea day, which we had really enjoyed.
Tomorrow, we stop at Victoria!
