Of course, the highs of being on the cruise always come crashing down on disembarkation day. We decided to carry our bags off the ship with express walk off, but still enjoy breakfast. We left our room and headed towards Carioca’s, which is where we had dinner the night before. Since we had late dinner, our breakfast was at a reasonable time.
It was hard to say goodbye to our wonderful server team of Debbie and Viand. It was doubly sad since we wouldn’t see Debbie again on our Spring Break cruise. We knew she would enjoy her hard earned break though and maybe we will see her again, either on the Magic or back at Epcot!
After breakfast, we collected our bags and headed off the ship to wait in the Customs line. We were through Customs rather quickly, then headed back out to the parking lot to get our rental car. While Nancy sorted some items out with the bags, I paid for parking at the parking kiosk. We then headed out of the parking lot using our validated ticket. We headed back to Orlando via the Florida Turnpike. It took us about four hours to make it back, but we didn’t encounter any difficulties on the trip back.
This cruise was great! We really enjoyed all the holiday touches that Disney added to this cruise. It was our first time on the Magic, thus helping us complete our Grand Slam. We almost managed to do all four ships in one year, but missed out on the Wonder. We definitely liked the Magic as much as we liked the Wonder though.
Thanks for following along on our Very Merrytime Christmas cruise!
