While on board the Disney Fantasy on a recent cruise, we took a stroll through the “it’s a small world” nursery.
The nursery is for children from ages 6 months to 3 years old. The nursery does have an additional charge associated with it; $9 per hour for the first child and $8 per hour for each additional child from the same family. You do have to make reservations for the nursery.
Not having a child of that age anymore, I can’t say exactly how check in and check out works. We walked through during the open house to get a feel for how the nursery looks.
Disney Cruise Line advises that space in the nursery is extremely limited. You can make reservations in advance of your cruise check-in date, which is:
- Up to 130 days ahead for Concierge
- Up to 123 days ahead for Pearl Castaway Club Guests
- Up to 120 days ahead for Platinum Castaway Club Guests
- Up to 105 days ahead for Gold Castaway Club Guests
- Up to 90 days ahead for Silver Castaway Club Guests
- Up to 75 days ahead for all other Guests
You can also make reservations during the open house on embarkation day (or anytime throughout your cruise), but they are on a first-come, first-served basis.
In the front of the nursery, there is a play area with toys.
The back area is the sleeping room.
The nursery looks like a safe and fun area for smaller cruisers to hang out while their parents enjoy some adult time on their cruise!
