While on board the Disney Wonder on a recent cruise, we took a stroll through the “it’s a small world” nursery.
The nursery is for children from ages 6 months to 3 years old. The nursery does have an additional charge associated with it; $9 per hour for the first child and $8 per hour for each additional child from the same family. You do have to make reservations for the nursery.
Not having a child of that age anymore, I can’t say exactly how check in and check out works. We walked through during the open house to get a feel for how the nursery looks.
Disney Cruise Line advises that space in the nursery is extremely limited. You can make reservations in advance of your cruise check-in date, which is:
- Up to 120 days ahead for Concierge and Platinum Castaway Club Guests
- Up to 105 days ahead for Gold Castaway Club Guests
- Up to 90 days ahead for Silver Castaway Club Guests
- Up to 75 days ahead for all other Guests
You can also make reservations during the open house on embarkation day (or anytime throughout your cruise), but they are on a first-come, first-served basis.
In the front of the nursery, there is an area with a rocking chair and a changing area, along with some space for the children to play. (There are some toys in front of this, but we didn’t capture it on camera)
The back area of the nursery is where the cribs are located.
The nursery looks like a safe and fun area for smaller cruisers to hang out while their parents enjoy some adult time on their cruise!
