California Adventure – Part 5, Day 1
We were very slow to get up because of the late travel night. We had originally planned to go to Storybook Cafe at the Grand Californian for breakfast the first morning we arrived. After looking at our anticipated arrival time the night before (2:00 AM at best), we decided to reschedule this to our second California Adventure day and we were glad we did as we were still pretty tired. We still managed to have a great time, despite being tired.
We headed right to Cars Land to get FastPasses for Radiator Springs Racers. Nancy split off from me and the girls so she could get some coffee and bring us some breakfast. We love the Mickey bread! We can spend all day eating it as a snack and its not horribly expensive.
We headed to the boardwalk to ride California Screamin. The girls and I both love the ride, but Nancy tends to not ride it. We rode it a few times, then moved down the boardwalk. The girls really wanted to ride Mickey’s Fun Wheel. We all rode on our last trip in the non-swinging gondolas, but this time the girls insisted they wanted to ride in one of the cars that moved. Nancy and I sat it out while the kids rode.
After getting off the Fun Wheel, we headed around the rest of Paradise Pier. We rode the Silly Symphony Swings and then Voyage of the Little Mermaid. We also made sure to get in a ride on the Grizzly River Run!
We then headed back to Cars Land! We love the entire atmosphere of Cars Land, from the theming of everything to the food choices. We rode Radiator Springs Racers as well as Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters (new to us).
We grabbed a quick service meal for dinner back in Cars Land. I’m a huge fan of the Cozy Cone’s offerings at almost any time of the day. We then decided to call it a night since we were all very tired in addition to still being on east coast time. We took a few pictures on the way out.
