What normally would have been a really sad day turned out to be just fine. We always dread leaving our Disney cruises. We usually have a great dining team that we get to know and always have a great, relaxing time on board. Leaving the ship means a return home to work and school, which isn’t nearly as fun. This time would be the exception though. After getting off the ship, we would be traveling up to Walt Disney World to spend five days at the Dolphin and go to the parks!
I woke up around 5 am and decided to look out the window. I got a nice view of Miami as we approached to dock.
Our breakfast this morning was at 8 am in Animator’s Palate, which is the same dining room we had dinner in the night before. We gathered our bags from the room and headed upstairs. We left our luggage outside the dining room and went in to our table.
Nancy ordered the “Almost Home” and the girls ordered the “For a Sweet Journey”. I always order the Chef’s Farewell, but forgot to take a picture of it.
We made sure to get a picture of Jesus and Viand! We really enjoyed meeting Jesus and having Viand again! We will always ask for him when we are on board the Magic!
After breakfast, we grabbed our luggage and headed towards the atrium. Express disembarkation (if you were taking your own luggage off) had already started so we headed off. We scanned off the ship for the final time and then headed towards customs. The customs officer checked our passports and we were done. We went back to the parking garage to load the bags in the car. I had to pay for the parking at a nearby machine, then use the ticket to exit the garage.
We gave one last look at the Magic, then started our four hour drive to Walt Disney World!
