Stateroom Door
Stateroom Door

We recently went on a cruise on the Disney Magic on January 17, 2022 and we were able to upgrade at the port to the Walter E. Disney Royal Suite, stateroom number 8030.  The room is located on the port (left) mid-ship side on Deck 8.  The room holds seven people.  Here are our pictures!

The suite does come with a doorbell as well, in case you can’t hear someone knock.

The door opens into a hallway that leads to the living room.

On the right side of the hallway is a small side table.

The left side of the hallway has a powder room with a sink and toilet.

After the powder room on the left side, is a small kitchen area (no cooking appliances) with an illy coffee machine, a SMEG tea pot and a small refrigerator.  There is a supply of coffee pods, tea, sugar, and milk (in the refrigerator).

To the left on the hallway is the master bedroom.  It is accessible through a small hallway with closets on both sides.

The master bedroom has a large queen sized bed with two nightstands.  There is a small sitting couch at the end of the bed.

To the right of the bed is also a small vanity.

The bathroom is to the right of the vanity.

The master bedroom also has a television.

The master bathroom was amazing.  There is a double sink, Jacuzzi  tub, toilet, and shower.

The next room is the sitting room (that’s what we called it).  It seems to have a Murphy double bed that comes down from the wall, but we never used it.  There is another television located in this room.

The next room is the living room.  There is a television located here as well as a small bar area with a sink and a refrigerator.

The dining room is attached to the living room.  It can seat eight people.  One of the benefits of sailing in one of the Royal Suites is the ability to order room service from Lumiere’s dining room as well as the adult only dining room, Palo.  We took advantage of all of these while on board.

The last room is the second bedroom, which contains two twin beds and two twin beds that come out of the ceiling.  Since there were only three of us, we never had those beds taken down.

The second bedroom has a walk in closet.

The bathroom in the second bedroom was very nice, with a single sink, toilet, and jacuzzi tub/shower combo.

The last part of the suite was the verandah.  The verandah is four regular staterooms long, but has the depth of a normal balcony.  It wasn’t as usable as you would like, since you can’t really lay down (and there are only chairs there).  There are four chairs and two small tables on the verandah.

Here is a video we made of the room (we aren’t vloggers, so forgive the movement).

Our friend, Ryan Alexander recently went on the Disney Dream.  He stayed in stateroom 8554, which is a Category 5B – Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah.  The room is located on Deck 8 between the mid ship and forward elevators on the Starboard (right) side of the ship and sleeps 4.  The room has a nice verandah as well as a split bathroom.

Here are the pictures of his room!
