We recently went on the Disney Magic for a 5-Night Caribbean Very Merrytime Christmas Cruise from Miami.  We stayed in stateroom 2512, which is a Category 9C Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom.  It is located on the forward (front) starboard (right)  side of the ship on Deck 2, in front of the forward elevators.   We had never stayed forward on Deck 2 before, but we really liked it.  The forward elevators are very rarely busy and it was easy to get to almost everything. read more

American Airlines Flight from Reagan National to Orlando

The travel day for our Disney Dream cruise finally arrived!  We had decided to leave really early so that we could join our friends at the airport.  We could easily kill time in the Admirals Club lounge at Reagan National Airport.  We were going to get the girls from school around noon, then leave for the airport at 12:30, which should get us there at 1:00 pm.  The flight didn’t leave until 3:00 pm, so we should have plenty of time to get lunch as well.  read more

We recently went on the Disney Dream for a 3-Night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral.  We stayed in room 7044, which is a Category 5C Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah.  It is located on the forward (front) port (left)  side of the ship on Deck 7, just in front of the forward elevators.   The room was in a great location.  We only had to go up a few decks to get drinks and we were very close to the forward elevators.  read more

Disney cruises are one of our favorite ways to vacation.  One of the few issues we have experienced while on the ship (and travel in general) is how to keep all of our electronic devices charged up.  As a family of four, we have a multitude of cell phones, iPads, and Kindles that need a recharge.  We used to travel with a bag full of wall chargers and cables that went everywhere.  This was a real problem once we boarded the cruise ship, since there are a limited number of wall plugs available. read more

Today was the last sea day for our cruise, in addition to being Star Wars Day At Sea!  The Fantasy hadn’t been overtaken too much during the cruise with Star Wars other than all the movies being shown throughout the cruise.  All of that changed in the morning.  As soon as we stepped outside the room into the hallway, you could hear the Star Wars themed music playing (which went on all day). read more
