Of course, the highs of being on the cruise always come crashing down on disembarkation day. We decided to carry our bags off the ship with express walk off, but still enjoy breakfast. We left our room and headed towards Carioca’s, which is where we had dinner the night before. Since we had late dinner, our breakfast was at a reasonable time.
Today was our last full day on the cruise and we were going to spend it at Castaway Cay, Disney Cruise Line’s private island in the Bahamas. Nancy had signed up for the Castaway Cay 5K, so she was up early and off to the buffet to get some breakfast before the race. She got some pictures of the island as the Magic was pulling in and watched them unload some supplies onto the island as well.
This was the second sea day for us on our Very Merrytime Christmas cruise! Everyone was really tired, so we slept in late. The girls eventually got dressed and went off to the Edge and the Vibe. Nancy and I had plans for Palo brunch at 11 am, so we decided to skip breakfast so we wouldn’t be full. We headed up to Cove Cafe for some morning coffee.
Day 3 on the ship was a port stop in Cozumel. We have been to Cozumel a few times before, so we already had our plan setup. We were going to eat at Pancho’s Backyard. It’s also located in Los Cinco Soles, one of our favorite stores.
We started Christmas day by ordering room service. We knew the girls wouldn’t be interested in getting up early since they had both stayed out late at the clubs the night before. While they were sleeping, I took their gift coupons to the lobby to try to retrieve their gifts. The cruise staff needed their Key to the World cards, so I had to head back to the room to get them.

It was finally time to get on board our Very Merrytime Cruise on the Disney Magic. After parking our car in the lot at the Port of Miami, we headed over to where the porters were collecting bags. The only issue was that we were very early. We arrive at the port about 10 am or so and the ships were still discharging passengers. I sent Nancy and the girls to the line while I looked for a porter.
