Disney Cruise Line’s private island, Castaway Cay, is a small slice of paradise in the Caribbean! On this slice of paradise, Disney added a private getaway where you can escape the crowds of people that you’ve been traveling with on your cruise ship. These private getaways are called Cabanas and they are small cabins placed on a private sections of the family beach and the adult beach. There are twenty regular and one large sized Cabanas on the family beach. We will only be talking about the Cabanas on the family beach as we have never experienced the ones on the adult beach.
Disney Cruise Line offers complimentary room service as a part of your cruise fare. You are responsible for any menu items that say “Available at an additional cost,” such as soda, alcohol, and specialty drinks. You are also responsible for gratuities for the person bringing the room service to you. We usually tip a few dollars each time we get something delivered.
The Disney Fantasy offers a lot of activities to keep you busy when you are onboard the ship. One of our favorite family activities is a no-holds-barred round of mini-golf! The mini-golf course is located on Deck 13 all the way at the rear of the ship. Everything you need for a round of golf can be found near the first hole of the course, including putters, balls, scorecards and pencils.
When you embark on a Disney Cruise, you will be given a Key To The World Card. The card will not only unlock your stateroom but also uniquely identifies you to the crew. It has a lot of information embedded on the card as well. I’ll try to breakdown the information as well to show you some examples of the card.
