We recently went on the Disney Fantasy for a 7 Night Halloween on the High Seas Western Caribbean Cruise (departure date October 30, 2021). We stayed in room 11018, which is a Category 2B Concierge 1-Bedroom Suite with Verandah. It is located on the port (left) forward (front) side of the ship on Deck 11. Here are our pictures of the room along with a great video we found on YouTube.
The room has a functioning doorbell!
Once the door is opened, there is a rather long hallway. The first door on the right is a bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. The second door on the right is a small closet. The third door on the right is a walk in closet with motion activated light. The door on the left is another small closet.
The bathroom is stocked with travel size Elemis shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There are also the standard H20 products as well (in refillable containers).
The shower is sealed off in the bathroom by a door.
The shower has a rainforest shower head attached to the ceiling. There is also a hand sprayer that can be activated by manipulating the water controls.
The first closet on the right is a small hanging closet with shelves underneath and above the hanging area. This closet was stocked with kid-size hangers.
The next closet on the right in a walk in closet with a motion activated light. It also comes with two robes and two sets of slippers to be used while on the ship! The closet includes a safe, full sized mirror, a small dresser, and shelves. There are also satin hangers and a shoeshine kit available for your use.
There is another closet on the left that is a hanging closet just like the the hanging closet on the right, but with full size hangers and drawers rather than open shelves.
After the hallway, the room opens into a living room.
As you enter the living room area, there is a small bench on the left.
On the right is a small desk, shelves with glassware, and the Murphy bed. We didn’t use the Murphy bed during our stay as we only had three people in the room.
We used the shelf above the desk for some of our door magnets, which didn’t stick to the outside door at all. The wood veneer on the door was too thick for our magnet to stick. The desk area also has a large number of regular electrical plugs as well as USB plugs.
Next to the Murphy bed is a connecting stateroom door to the adjoining room. We used it as our magnet door since they wouldn’t stick to the outside stateroom door.
The living room contains a comfortable velveteen sofa that converts to a sleeper, two chairs, a small coffee table, and a side table with a small lamp. The TV cabinet has shelf space for storage as well as a refrigerator.
The beverages that were stocked in the fridge when we arrived were Evian water, Sprite, Coke and Diet Coke. I requested Coke Zero Sugar and it was restocked continually after that.
We used the lamp on the small side table next to the couch as a night light when our daughter would come back from the Vibe at night.
The dining room consists of a round table and four chairs.
We were allowed to order room service from the standard room service menu or from Royal Court. The room service stewards would set the table with linens and nice plates and lay out the food for us. Here is the table after the delivery of breakfast one morning.
The master bedroom can be closed off the from the rest of the room with expandable wall partitions that will lock into place. The bed is a queen size bed. There is a large flat screen TV on the wall that is adjacent to the entry hallway.
The right side of the bed has a clock with USB chargers build into it as well as a small shelf.
The left side contains the room phone and a night stand. There are electrical plugs on that side as well.
The left side of the bed also has a small vanity and a stool to sit on. There are light controls and a plug for the hair dryer (as well as a standard plug).
Here is a wider view of the suite from the end of the suite looking back towards the bedroom.
Here is the couch set up as in the sleeper configuration. The mattress is a little thin, but our daughter didn’t seem to mind.
Here is the master bedroom with some of the partitions closed.
At night, our room attendant would place a small mat with slippers on each side of the master bed. It was a nice touch.
And now for the bathroom, which comprised a large portion of the suite! The bathroom contained a soaker Jacuzzi tub, two sinks, an enclosed toilet, and a shower.
The shower has a rainforest shower head as well as a hand sprayer.
The toilet closet is not exciting.
This bathroom is also stocked with Elemis and H2O products.
The verandah is at least double the side of a normal verandah, with four chairs and a small table. Two of the chairs on the verandah are upright like the standard room deck chairs, and two are like the chairs on the pool deck (you can lay them back to lounge). The top section of glass is enclosed, the middle section is open, and the bottle second is enclosed.
I took a video and shared it here. I definitely had to do some editing though because I had trouble turning the lights on when we first got to the room.
I also found this fantastic video on youtube that is much more extensive than mine. Make sure you check it out and give them a thumbs up!
