Our friends Doug (from Rope Drop Radio) and Michelle McKnight (our favorite travel agent) went on the Disney Dream in November 2013, for a 3-Night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral. They stayed in room 7598, which is a Category 4C Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah. It is located on the midship starboard (right) side of the ship on Deck 7. Some other features of the room include a round tub and a Murphy bed so you can sleep five in the room.

In March of 2016, we stayed in Stateroom 7548 on the Disney Wonder. We were originally booked into a Category 9C Oceanview on Deck 2, but we upgraded at the port to this room for just $400. Stateroom 7548 is a Category 05B Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah located mid-ship on the starboard (right) side of the ship on Deck 7, just behind the mid-ship elevators. This is really the only time we’ve managed to upgrade at the port. The rest of the sailings either didn’t have anything available or didn’t have anything better than what we had already booked.
We usually plan our travel 18 months or so in advance. We look at school calendars, compare prices, and then book a trip. In the case of our February 2017 cruise on the Disney Dream, almost none of this happened (we did look at the school calendar). Here is how our cruise came together.
We recently went on the Disney Fantasy for a Star Wars Day At Sea 7 Night Eastern Caribbean Cruise. We stayed in room 6146, which is a Category 5D Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah. It is located on the port (left) aft (back) side of the ship on Deck 6. Here are our pictures of the room!
