Disney Fantasy Stateroom 7170

We recently went on the Disney Fantasy for a 7 Night Eastern Caribbean Cruise (departure date August 11, 2018).  We stayed in room 7170, which is a Category 7A Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Navigator’s Verandah.  It is located on the port (left) aft (back) side of the ship on Deck 7.   Here are our pictures of the room, including the obstructed verandah (which turned out to be fine)!

The restroom was on the left when you walk in.

You will be at Assembly Station M, which is on Deck 4 outside on the Port (left) side.  Fortunately, it was in the shade at the time of our muster drill at Port Canaveral.

The closets are standard size for all the staterooms we have been in.

This room is a connecting room if you are looking for one.

The room pretty much has the same layout as every other verandah room we have been in on the Fantasy.

Now, for the part most people care about — the Obstructed Verandah.  The obstruction started at the bottom left and moved upwards towards the center.   Honestly, we really liked it.  It allowed someone to go out on the verandah and not be in the sun when the sun was shining on that side of the ship.  You could still easily see and hear the ocean with no issues.   I will say that this might be one of the most obstructed view verandahs on the Fantasy.  We had friends that stayed in 8164 and the view was much less obstructed than ours.

How exciting! Thanks for the pictures, I was worried that we were getting the short end of the stick with the verandah on this room! How did you feel about noise level, could you hear the elevator much?

We never heard the elevator. The location was great as well. My friends has the navigator veranda on deck 8. I think their veranda was less obstructed but both were fine.

Thanks so much for these detailed pictures! We booked this room for this year and I was worried about the obstructed balcony. I almost paid for an upgrade. I wasn’t aware it was right by the elevators either. I chose a random stateroom number at booking. Does the bunk bed have the starry pictures above it?

Thank you for this detailed view! I see that the elevators are directly across from this cabin. Are the elevator doors themselves right across from the cabin? Or is it just a wall there, and the actual doors and elevator waiting area is around the corner across from the staircase? Thank you!!

If I remember correctly, it is very close to the opening near the stairs. I think it is mostly behind the wall though. I don’t think we could directly see the elevators inside our room but you could once you stepped out.
