April 14, 2019 5-Night Baja Cruise, Part 10: Travel Home

It was time to leave San Diego and head back to our home outside of Washington D.C.  Our flight was really early this morning, at 7:55 am.  We had an Uber pick us up around 5:00 am and we headed to the airport.  We got our bags dropped off and headed to find some breakfast before we boarded the flight.

Our flight today would take us from San Diego at 7:55 am and land in Houston at 1:00 pm.  We then had another flight that would leave at 4:30 pm and land in Dulles at 8:30 pm.

Our flight to Houston was fine and we landed a bit after 1:00 pm.  We decided to head for one of the Priority Pass restaurants at the Houston airport, the. Cadillac Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar.  We each got a $28 credit because Nancy and I both have Priority Pass Memberships.  I’ve stopped here multiple times on business trips and knew it would be good.  The restaurant was having some issues though today and we had to wait about 15 minutes until a manager came out to sort through things and get us seated.  Eventually, we got our order and were able to enjoy it.  We headed back to the United terminal to get our flight to Dulles at 4:30 pm.

We got off the airplane and grabbed our bags from baggage claim.  A quick taxi cab ride later and we were walking in our front door around 9:15 pm or so.  It had been a long trip, but so much fun.  We got to explore two new ports and get back onto our favorite Disney cruise ship.  We got to see some of our favorite crew members as well as meet some new ones.  We are already looking forward to our next trip on board in the Wonder in January 2020!
